Photo of the month (POTM 2017)

This section is dedicated to my most favorite wildlife picture that I have captured or processed in a particular month. This will also form a placeholder for me to keep track of these favorite images from the year. I also wish to share some information behind the shot as a short journal of the shot, which may perhaps be a good read for a wildlife enthusiast.

April 2017

Got the chance to visit one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in India - The Jim Corbett National Park. Now the "cherry on the cake" was the amazing company of renowned photographer friends who were with me for this trip. Mohan Thomas, Clement Francis, Prakash Narayanan, Shaji Mohammed to name a few. That said, it is the best park to capture elephants as you can see from this image.

Ameyaa and Friend

March 2017

Time is flying and my little one is now more than a year old. Captured this moment with her at a park near by. It is such an amazing feeling to relive childhood through her eyes. This is her friend teddy giving her company in the park

Tiger Woods in Dubai

February 2017

Got the rare opportunity to capture Tiger Woods at the 2017 OMEGA DUBAI DESERT CLASSIC PRO-AM. Tiger's last appearance at an International Golf Event yet. He has not played a professional golf tournament since this day as he retired hurt. In this image he is seen taking his ball out of a bunker and does not appear very confident doing so. That said, should mention that he is one of the most followed personalities in International Sports.

Lilith Owl in Dubai City Outskirts

january 2017

Got reports of the bird's presence in the desert from fellow photographers and made a small trek in the desert to get to its habitat in the outskirts of Dubai. A relatively small but very sensitive bird. Being diurnal and nocturnal, these owls are very alert and are usually difficult to photograph. The image was shot with a 300mm lens. The bird was sitting in a small depression in the sand and this image was captured as it too off.
